Folks, I’m learning about MEN; what makes a man, what hinders a man from being full in his ambitions and desires, why they feel a certain way, why they are they way they are… etc. Women, I’m telling you, you need to read this book.

Maybe its because I have an older brother, but I felt as if I knew a lot of things about men compared to other girls. My brother and I are VERY close and he teaches me about the inner gears of a man and the way they think, especially in relationships, and so I thought I knew quite a bit. Boy was I wrong.

I thought women were complicated… but Men are just as complicated. I didn’t realize how hard it was for Men to be confident, to be secure with themselves, to be a warrior for Christ, and how almost every man has a deep wound in their heart. I knew that sexually they have insecurities, but I didn’t know the depth of the problem in some men. I guess the same goes for some women… that’s another book.

I love reading this book. I’m not done yet, but I have a feeling that I’ll be reading it VERY often.. especially in preparation for future boyfriends and/or marriage. This book has changed my list of “qualities” that I look for in a man. To be honest, I think I’ve only dated boys, and not MEN. None of them were prepared for anything in life, now that I look back, and sure as hell they did not deserve my time. In fact, I came at the wrong time. I’m being brutal right now, I know… but I’m not sorry. I’m not bitter either. I’m just realizing how much growing needs to take place in many guys…

I’ll be praying for my special someone. He will be somebody that I am proud of, and he will be a Man of God who has a battle to fight.
